Pre-formed glasswool pipe section with HD foil. Great for high temperature applications.
Description
– For hot and steam pipe applications
– Fibrous material with HD foil facing
– Non-combustible material
– Easy to install pre-formed pipe sections
Glasswool pipe section is a non-combustible fibre-based insulation with a density of 64 kg/m3. The product is a good thermal insulator with a k-value of 0.0312 W/mK. Glasswool is generally used for heating applications up to 340 degrees Celsius, such as steam pipe or hot water. It is not great for chilled applications, because the fibrous nature does not provide a vapour barrier. InsulShop faces the 1 metre long, pre slit pipe sections with a HD foil, to make it easier to work with on site.
Note of caution: When handling and processing Glasswool, the dust and fibres that get released are irritants to skin, eyes and the respiratory system. Make sure you wear the appropriate safety equipment.
