Fletcher Glasswool Insulation (or ductwrap) is a non-combustible fibre-based insulation with a density of 22 kg/m3 and a k-value of 0.0312 W/mK. Glasswool Insulation is generally used for heating applications, or the insulation of duct and equipment. It is not typically used for insulation of chilled applications, because the fibrous nature of the material does not provide a vapour barrier. The material is faced with a HD foil, or a LD foil and comes in individually packed rolls. The product is Australian made and manufactured from up to 80% recycled content.
Note of caution: When handling and processing Glasswool, the dust and fibres that get released are irritants to skin, eyes and the respiratory system. Make sure you wear the appropriate safety equipment.
