Glasswool blanket or duct wrap with HD foil. Perfect for external duct insulation.
– Go-to external duct insulation
– Fibrous material with HD or LD foil facing
– Non-combustible material
– Easy to install with a pin welder
The Glasswool blanket (or ductwrap) is a non-combustible fibre-based insulation with a density of 22 kg/m3 and has a k-value of 0.0312 W/mK. Glasswool blanket is generally used for hot applications or the insulation of duct and equipment. It is not great to insulate cold applications, because the fibrous nature does not provide a vapour barrier. The material is faced with an HD foil, or an LD foil and comes in individually packed rolls.
Note of caution: When handling and processing Glasswool, the dust and fibres that get released are irritants to skin, eyes and the respiratory system. Make sure you wear the appropriate safety equipment.
